It seems like on your tv show the division of labor breaks down where your job is sourcing the artwork. Is that fair to say?
Yes, I have been a avid collector for fifteen years. I love going to galleries and seeing as much work as possible. It’s a real thrill to be able to show artwork to the masses on television.
If you could have any artist guest star on an episode who would it be?
Vik Muniz. I would love to film him putting together a huge installation.
I was so impressed by your private collection from Anne Collier to Glenn Ligon. Can you tell us about a recent purchase or an artist on your radar?
I love my huge Sumo photograph by Craig McDean. It is a great mix of fashion, sports and size.
On the new season you have a few Exhibition A prints featured. Did you have a favorite?
Loving Terence Koh and have been a huge fan of Rene Ricard for years. I love the fact that many more people can afford his work as a print via Exhibition A. How cool is the “Rocks at Girls “print?!
