Editor and Social Media Manager at Opening Ceremony
How did you first get interested in contemporary art?
When I was really little, my mom would regularly take me and my sister to the Met, where I developed a totally inexplicable obsession with Seurat’s Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. It certainly made me understand the power of art, and I think my interest in contemporary art today somehow stems from that.

Do you live with any artwork at home?
I own a very special, one-of-a-kind print by one of my favorite artists, Joshua Michael Paulin.
What is your approach to covering the art scene for Opening Ceremony? Ear to the ground, always.
Have you ever been starstruck meeting an artist?
I’ve never been starstruck but I was visually struck when I saw Terence Koh at a party for the first time. He was draped in white and made the room seem pitch-black. I told him he looked godly. (The smoke machines may have contributed to that effect.)
An upcoming show you are excited to see?
Andrea Rosen Gallery recently announced that they’ve picked up Ryan Trecartin. I can’t wait to see his first show there!
Do you know Darcel Disappoints?
I discovered Darcel through Colette sometime around 2008 and have been a fan ever since. I love his sense of humor. He contributes to the OC Blog every now and then with his own Darcellian take on culture-related goings-on. Check it here!
