Featured works on Exhibition A
Look out for Michael Bevilacqua’s show at Mark Flood’s new gallery, “Mark Flood Resents”, in Chelsea later this summer. His work has also been exhibited extensively and worldwide, within spaces such as the Palais de Toko in Paris, Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, Dallas Museum of Art, Mitsuni Collection in Tokyo, Japan, and The Phoenix Art Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. You may have seen his work alongside Jeff Elrod and James Busby at Kravets Wehby last year. Born in California in 1966, Bevilacqua blends concepts and iconography from high and low culture to create complex and wide-ranging work that throws light onto the individual and raises important questions surrounding how one remains vital within corporatized society.
