Lee Quinones

Featured works on Exhibition A

In April 2011, street art legend Lee Quinones was commissioned to paint a giant mural in Los Angeles as part of MOCA’s wildly popular “Art in the Streets” exhibition. Lee’s paintings are housed in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of Art, the Museum of the City New York, the Groninger Museum and the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, and have been exhibited at the New Museum Of Contemporary Art, the Museum of National Monuments in Paris and the Staatliche Museum. He also appeared as a guest judge on Bravo’s “Work of Art: The Next Great Artist.” A native New Yorker by way of Puerto Rico, Lee is considered one of the single most influential artists to emerge from the New York City subway art movement.
