Lowell Boyers will be showing some new work at Pulse Miami with Von Lintel Gallery New York. He is also working on building a new body of works for a solo show at Von Lintel Gallery for Fall 2013. Boyers’ exhibition Primavera Materia marked his third solo exhibition with Deborah Colton Gallery in Houston, Texas. His gallerist cited Boyers’ courageous bursts of heightened color and we noticed his continued blurring of the line between figuration and landscape, which keeps the viewer engaged, as if watching a sonnet unfold before one’s eyes. Boyers is a graduate of Yale, where received his MFA. He is prominently featured in the collection of Andy Spade, who organized a show of his works on paper in 2008 at Half Gallery.
